Back in the day, a reviewer in an underground magazine wanted to slam our band Hermanos Guzanos, so he said that our music had the worst elements of The Human League, Z.Z.Top, and The Meat Puppets, and this guy I knew who was a very gifted musician, read the review at my house, and remarked, "Hey, I like The Meat Puppets!"
Hey I like all three! That must have been some diverse sound to be compared to HL, ZZ, and MP.
ReplyDeleteRemember, it was the worst elements, drum machine, simple grungy guitar riffs, and off-key vocals. Diverse, that's a nice way to put it!
